Making Some Space For Serenity

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, “My son, the battle is between two “wolves” inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Look Within

Density plays a big role.  By carrying about dense, heavy, negative emotions, that you have identified with, or rather your Ego has identified with, you will not have much room to spare for the ever increasing positivity you naturally begin to attract as you journey into awareness. This will give you a tougher time of it, as these densities block and disrupt your being. During awakening these dense emotions can be extreme as they are forced to the surface.

For example, if you hate your job,  really hate and loath it. This feeling will not just affect you whilst at work, it will occupy you during your commute, the evening before, during a holiday and all those little things that will remind you of it.  This fills you up with negativity.  You start unconsciously becoming addicted to the chemicals your body produces under these conditions and you will seek to manifest more.  Work is an adult example and an obvious one, but negativity within our being has often times been carried around since childhood and it manifests itself in innumerous ways.  We identify with it as “That’s just the way I am.” Or worse, we don’t even recognise it.

Recognising these feelings when they arise is a big help.  You can then spot triggers or trailheads when they arise.   These trailheads can be following back to their source by looking within, finding out what these feeling mean and why they occur.  This isn’t always easy, as you may not have any memory of the initial occurrences.

Manifest Space

Make some space for all the great and the good coming your way.  Go looking for that space everywhere and in everything.  Notice the gaps in the branches of a tree rather than the branches themselves.  Then the gaps in-between the leaves.  Listen for the gaps between words and sounds.   Be aware inside, of your own internal space.  Feel that space as you breath in and let it grow.  Make space everywhere.  Seek out stillness and vast spaces.  It also helps to stretch yourself out bodily, also with your senses, Listen as much as you can, really try to listen to everything, find the gaps in the noise and reach out aurally as far as you can.  Do this with all your senses, really look, really smell and taste and feel.  Get the absolute maximum bang for your buck out of everything you have.

Physical Fluctuations

You will feel this removal of density physically.  It can happen that from time to time you feel an incredible heaviness and fatigue.  The heaviness in the legs, centering around the thighs and have an incredible urge to collapse and sleep.  This is the body working through density at a lower vibration.  I worried what might be wrong with me when this started happening.  Although I have always enjoyed sleep, this was very different, I was almost unable to function.  Fortunately the sensation passes fairly quickly these days, lasting only a day or two, but initially it lasted for a few weeks.  Going with it helps, so I try to catch forty winks if possible.  I have even had to find a layby for ten minutes shut eye after being awake for barely an hour, following a twelve hour sleep the night before.  During awakening your body is physically changing for the better.  You begin looking like the physical representation of your spiritual Self.  This  won’t always be painless.

Raise Your Frequency

Raise your vibrational state at any chance you get.  The way you think, eat, play, work.  The way you approach life.  Raise it all the way up!  That’s not to say that you shouldn’t enjoy some of this physical realms more dense or lower vibrating indulgences, like drinking alcohol or eating red meat.  Just be aware of it.  If  you only change one thing, something simple like not getting angry during rush hour, your average vibrational frequency will increase overall.  You will get addicted to it, because you feel better.

Live In The Moment

Presence is the single most important thing you can do for yourself.  The future will never be as good as the present moment is right now!  I won’t leap into another few pages regarding the present moment in order to underline its importance for this article.  Suffice it to say that by living in the present and the better you get at living in the present, by leaning to absorb more and more of it, your newly acquired space will be filled with positivity.  This higher vibrational state of being will blast apart the density residing within.  You will be filled with positivity and peace.  You will stretch and expand.  You will have to.  The more you become aware, the more you are conscious, the more filled with life you will become and your cup will runneth over.

You will shine like the fragment of the Tao that you are.
