The Spiritual Doldrums

No Wind In The Sails

And so it happens that as the rubber band of ever increasing consciousness stretches, it also has moments of relaxing itself.  This period of relaxation can sometimes feel like a stalling of your spiritual growth.  During this phase of relaxation the Ego can start to stir as the mind looks for ways to rationalise what’s going on.  Old habits can resurface along with aches and pains, and a sense of being out of alignment is probably the best way I can describe the feeling.

Each and every time this happens, you learn something.  A solution will present itself as you poke about finding what’s up with you.  Sometimes this is a sentence in a book which puts to bed a niggle that you have had for a while, or you ‘suffer’ a full-blown spiritual realisation brought forth from studying ancient scripture, or both and vice-versa.   The answer can just as often come from being still.  Resisting nothing and simply being.

It is a time that could be recognised as the starting blocks before the race.  Your energies are being affected and manifesting.  Stay Strong.  The aches and pains are all precursors and as these flare up you come to kind of enjoy the sensation.  You are not suffering with sciatica or inflammation, you are moving energy about yourself subconsciously in preparation for the download. (Don’t avoid a trip to the doctors if you need to.  I only know me)

During The Lull

Meditate – Always first and foremost.  As old habits resurface it is a great time to go over these again.

Relax – This is a good thing that is happening.  You love the challenge.

Enjoy the break –  “You cannot help anyone without helping yourself” is true on many levels.  This time though enjoy the excuse to chill and recharge.

Just as crab sheds it’s shell as it becomes tight and uncomfortable.  So are you shedding your shell.
Remember this will not last.  You are emerging as a representation of the  divine, of all creation.  If this transformation were to happen  instantly your physical and mind would be destroyed.  We all get what get, when we are ready to get it.  There are no bad times.
